First State Valuation Service (FSVS) is a valuation firm that specializes in the valuation of businesses and business interests. It is owned and operated by Phil Reynolds. Phil has been valuing businesses and business interests for twenty years. During that time, he has valued hundreds of such interests worth well over a billion dollars. He has valued operating companies involved in manufacturing, distribution, retail, health care, computer services, hotel and food service, professional services, and many other industries. He has valued both real estate holding companies and investment holding companies.

Phil has valued companies in many different states, including California, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, and in the District of Columbia. 

He has valued businesses for many different purposes, including estate and gift tax planning and reporting, divorce and other litigation, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), transactions, shareholder disputes, buy-sell agreements, bankruptcy, and litigation support.
